Now available and shipping 2011 dried hops.

All hops are removed from the vine, cleaned and dried in the dryer.  In the dryer the hops are layered 2'-3' deep and hot air is forced through the floor for 8-12 hours until they are dried down to 8-10% moisture.  From the drying room they are transported by conveyers to the baling floor where the hops cool for up to 24 hrs before they are baled.  We are offering these varieties in 7 lb and 15lb bales. These custom bales are easy and convenient to handle. Hops are put into a high quality mylar bag, filled with nitrogen, and then vacuum sealed. We leave some extra bag material so once it is cut it may be resealed. All varieties will be shipped in 2-3 business days. Now available for pick up at our store.  Large orders please call a day or send an email a day in advance.  Thanks.

Dried US Golding Hops
Dried US Golding Hops

The Kent Golding was imported hop from England that was developed by clonal selection from 1790 on a starting from Canterbury Whitebine.  It has a light fluffy cone structure that is small in size.  The Golding has quite small amounts of pale yellow lupulin.  When picking, drying and baling care is needed because it can shatter if too dry.  The Goldings are very much desired by brewer's because of their great use for kettle hopping, late hopping and dry hopping.
