Northwest Hops is now offering potted female hops on a permanent basis.

Unfortunately, as hardy as hops are, not all rhizomes survive once planted. There are multiple reasons for this; poor weather, soil, water or user input.  Our potted hops are sold individually and in bulk. Everyone likes to save money so multiple item orders receive discounts on shipping.

Dried hops excluded unless otherwise approved.

  If you are considering potted hops as an alternative to starting your own rhizomes think about this:
  •   Our container grown hops arrive to you as live plants that have been rooted out in 3 quart containers.
  •   Help avoid costly replants and survivability issues in poor soil or hard to grow climates. 
  •   Container grown hops from Northwest Hops have been professionally potted and maintained by experts in horticulture. With our proprietary blend of soil and nutrients we can ensure perfect drainage while encouraging substantial root growth. This means you get a healthier hop plant.

  •   Wholesale contract planting available. Orders due by March 5 for containers to be ready for summer planting. (May - June)  Orders for the following year must be received no later than May 15 unless otherwise approved. We always strive to meet everyone's needs.

  • Northwest Hops has and does propagation and consultation for large scale local farmers. We have a good reputation for our knowledge, standards and ethics. Our technologies are widely sought after.
  • We always sell out and the pre-orders make it much easier for us to offer a consistent, superior hop that is ready to be planted at its peak.
  • Survivability is almost 100%. With user input being the only outside factor.
  • Northwest Hops reserves the right to cancel and refund any order at any time. While rare, it is still possible that outside influences can affect our crop and its availability. i.e fire, wind, snow, bugs, diseases, and other outside influences.
  • Northwest Hops is family owned and operated. We have dogs, cats and babies too. In other words we are real people with a purpose.


So you're ready to order and you want to know when you'll get your plant. Once you have completed your pre-order, you will receive a confirmation e-mail.

If you ordered individually your plant will most likely be ready and shipped to you in the middle of May.

If you have a contract from last year, or ordered late in the summer the previous year, your plants will be pulled out of dormancy depending on your intended receiving date. If this changes please let us know 30 days ahead of time.
